Teenagers: Feasting Forward

This workshop was recorded for the A Delectable Education At Home online conference 2022. We're looking at a few principles from Charlotte Mason's philosophy of education that help us understand what the teenage years are for and what the role of parents is in that time.

Overpowering Boredom

Recorded for the A Delectable Education At Home online conference 2022, this workshop is about afternoon occupations in the Charlotte Mason philosophy of education. The biggest barrier when we face a broad stretch of empty time, is boredom. This workshop considers Miss Mason's guidance on finding our way out of the overpowering mastery of boredom, and helping our children do the same. Please note, due to some technical difficulties in recording, some pieces of video are missing, although plenty is left!

Under Pressure and In a Hurry

This workshop was presented at the ADE at Home conference 2021. This conference was serving families which are learning from the Nineteenth Century educator, Charlotte Mason.

To get the back story on Charlotte Mason and her educational philosophy, you can’t do better than the A Delectable Education podcast.

The workshop itself is about dealing with the strain of home educating a lot of children. Miss Mason gave some excellent principles for alleviating the pressure.

The Pea and the Rainforest

Parenting and educating children is a weighty responsibility that is best done with a light touch. But with deeper convictions sometimes comes a heavier mood. How do we deal with the immense weight? The lighter load does not come from ditching the weighty duty, but from going deeper still.

This plenary was presented at the ADE at Home conference 2021.
